He retired as Direction (Design) from Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited (HPSEBL) and has more than four decades of experience in electrical design and implementation of hydro-electric projects. He has worked extensively in the Design Department, specialized in the design of substations, transmission lines and hydroelectric projects. He carried out the design and execution works of the 400 kV and 220 kV substations of varying capacities in the Nathpa Jhakri Project (1500 MW). He was honored with a Certificate of Merit for his contributions to substation design in hilly terrain. Additionally, he has significant experience in design works of the 412 MW Rampur Hydroelectric Project, along with expertise in system engineering for Small Hydro Power Projects.

Beyond his industry experience, he has also contributed to Academia as a Research Officer at Panjab Engineering College, where he worked on a CBI&P-funded research project focused on measuring grounding system parameters in energized stations. His research efforts have resulted in the publication of over 16 papers in reputed journals, further solidifying his expertise in the field.
