WATER SUPPLY

Sai Eternal Foundation possesses the technical expertise and organizational capacity to undertake complex and challenging assignments in the domain of Water Supply Schemes (WSS). Backed by a robust infrastructure, a strong foundation of technical knowledge and a team of highly qualified professionals, the foundation is well-positioned to deliver end-to-end solutions. Its service portfolio encompasses vetting of designs and drawings, geotechnical investigations, detailed surveys, hydrological and hydraulic studies, environmental and social impact assessments and comprehensive construction planning.

Foundation is undertaking the largest Bulk Water Supply project of Shimla Town, an initiative of substantial importance for the State’s urban infrastructure development. This pioneering project is the first-ever Bulk Water Scheme sourced from the River Sutlej and is being designed to meet both present and future water demands of Shimla city.

The scheme is initially being developed with a capacity of 42 million litres per day (MLD), with planned scalability up to 67 MLD. Upon completion, the treated water will be pumped in four stages (1st raw water and three clear water) from EL 600 to EL 2717 through around 23.70 kilometres pipeline to the existing storage reservoir at Sanjauli from where it will be distributed across Shimla.

A key highlight of the project is the advanced Water Treatment Plant near Sunni, equipped with three large pre-sedimentation tanks (each 38 metres in diameter), two Clariflocculator tanks for coagulation & sedimentation and two clear water storage tanks. This facility represents state-of-the-art treatment infrastructure designed to operate with high efficiency and reliability.
