Er. Singhal, retired from the post of General Manager/E8 (PSPS & Solar Section) from THDCIL and also, held the post of Officer on Special Duty (OSD) for promotion of PSP & Solar Sector. He played a critical role in expanding PSP and solar initiatives, including authoring a viability report for a 1200 MW PSP in Sonbhadra, securing project approval through strategic negotiations, orchestrating an MoU with Maharashtra for six PSP projects and coordinating with State Governments to integrate renewable energy sources.
In his role as General Manager, he directed the development of PSP projects in regions such as Kerala, Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Tamil Nadu, managed the 50 MW Kasargod Solar Project, developed floating solar projects and led the Ministry of Power’s PMG (Project Monitoring Group). His early career involved hands-on management of construction and design tasks for the Tehri Dam, focusing on structural integrity and seismic safety. These roles highlight his significant contributions to the field and his strategic influence in shaping energy projects across various capacities.
